• 1. Current students who applied for university-administered scholarships each semester
• 2. Jinri Scholarships: Students with outstanding academic performance—who earned at least 12 credits in the previous semester and have a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher—and who have been recommended by their respective colleges.
• 3. Free Scholarships: Students facing financial hardship who have earned at least 12 credits in the previous semester, have a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or higher, and have been recommended by their respective colleges.

* Each college conducts its own selection process from among students who meet the minimum requirements.
* Application required (You may apply for scholarships for the following semester at the end of each semester; please check the announcements on the Yonsei University Scholarships Team website for specific application periods.)
* However, applications are accepted starting in the second semester of the freshman year.

• 1. Eligibility: Students admitted to the Department of Communication as their primary major (excluding dual majors, multiple majors, minors, and transfer students)
• 2. Students who, as of the semester immediately preceding the semester in which the scholarship is awarded, meet the "criteria of falling within a certain income percentile or below, as defined by the Korea Scholarship Foundation," as determined by the Undergraduate Fund Management Committee
• 3. Current students who have completed at least 12 credits in the previous semester and are within their first 8 semesters of enrollment, with a grade percentile of 80 or higher (GPA of 3.0 or higher)
• 4. Among students who meet the above criteria, a total of three students—one each from the sophomore, junior, and senior classes per semester—will receive one million won as a tuition subsidy.

* One student per grade will be selected based on the criteria in items 2 and 3 above. If there is more than one eligible student in a given grade, they will be selected in order of their weighted average.
* Recipients may receive both this scholarship and national scholarships; however, students who received a national scholarship in the previous semester are excluded.

• 1. Eligibility: One student currently enrolled in the Department of Communication who is interested in pursuing a career in broadcasting
• 2. Recommendation Criteria: Students who meet the eligibility criteria for university-awarded scholarships and demonstrate outstanding academic performance (※ May receive other scholarships concurrently, provided the total amount does not exceed the tuition fee )
• 3. Scholarship Amount: Half of the tuition per student each semester

• The Hong Seung-ju Memorial Scholarship Fund was established through a donation from his bereaved family to honor the late Hong Seung-ju (Class of ’85, Department of Journalism and Broadcasting; graduated in 1989), who died in the line of duty due to an unexpected accident on November 3, 1993, while attending a JoongAng Ilbo employee training session. This scholarship fund provides tuition or living expenses to first-year and current students majoring in the Department of Communication who are selected as meeting the criteria set by the bereaved family and the Hong Seung-ju Memorial Scholarship Committee.
• 1. Selection Period and Eligibility: First-semester of each academic year, undergraduate freshmen admitted to the Department of Communication as their primary major
• 2. Selection Criteria and Number of Positions: Students who graduated from Gyeonggi High School in Seoul and were admitted to this undergraduate program as majors in their original field of study; there is no enrollment cap for this year.
• 3. Scope of Support: Tuition assistance or living expenses, up to 3 million won per person

* If there are no eligible new students in the current academic year, scholarship funds will be awarded to no more than two existing recipients per semester.
